When Pam was a little girl, all she wanted to be was a hula dancer, but God had other plans.
After an unwanted divorce, God spoke to her in an undeniable way: Pam, one day I will raise you up to speak to thousands of women about what my grace and power can do. And today, Pam is one of America’s leading advocates for single mothers raising children, having spoken to select members of Congress at the nation’s capital, been featured in Guideposts, and appeared on the 700 Club and radio programs in their behalf.
She is the co-founder of Arise Ministries, a global outreach that has encouraged single moms from every state in the U.S. and over 141 countries. With a passion to equip single mothers with biblical tools for handling everyday life, Pam co-founded the Survive ‘N’ Thrive conferences over thirteen years ago. Renamed the Thrive Gathering in 2018, hundreds of mothers and children from all over the country continue discovering the secrets of flourishing in a single-parent family through this conference.
Pam was recently nominated by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin and subsequently awarded National Mother of Achievement in Washington, DC. She was also selected as one of the Top 50 Women Making a Difference in Oklahoma by The Journal Record, and voted Woman of the Year by the Edmond, Oklahoma, Chamber of Commerce.
Pam’s latest book—The Single Mom and Her Rollercoaster Emotions, which was endorsed by Focus on the Family—leads single moms through the loop-de-loops of finding emotional wellness and full-powered joy. As a former Bible teacher and national television talk-show cohost, Pam thrives in empowering and equipping women to live life with intentional purpose in what truly matters.
For over twenty-five years Pam has been married to her second husband Rich. They love the outdoors and share four children; yet, her favorite title remains “Grammy Pammy” to nine grandchildren.
Pam loves life and it loves her right back. Ask anyone. They all enthusiastically agree that Pam’s life motto fits her well: LET – IT – SHINE.
