Thrive Conference Details

THRIVE is a one-of-a-kind gathering specifically for single mothers to encourage and empower them to flourish as a single parent.  THRIVE offers a variety of speakers on topics relevant to women raising children alone. For 15 years, Arise Ministries has led the country in providing resources to help single moms create healthy homes. Our summer experience is the featured gathering for the year. The 2-day event will include inspirational speakers, connection opportunities with other single moms, breakout sessions, panel discussions, door prizes, and a catered lunch. Single mothers will leave refreshed, recharged, and ready to take on what life brings next. If you're a woman raising children alone, don't miss this unforgettable life-changing event.

Childcare

Childcare is available for children ages birth-11 for $5/family. Registration is required in advance and space is limited. Kids will have a light dinner on Friday and donuts Saturday morning followed by a kid-friendly lunch on Saturday.  If your child has special dietary needs, please pack a lunch.

FAQ

I'm not a single mom but I'm interested in coming with a friend. Is that okay?

Yes! We have many women who attend in support of a friend or family member. What a great way to show your support for single moms. You will find the speakers address topics that are relevant to all women, not just single moms. Registration is required for every woman attending.

My situation is unique. Will this apply to me?

There are many kinds of single moms, each with a special story.  We welcome any woman raising children alone, if even for a short time.  Our session topics are varied for women of all walks of life.  You will meet other moms dealing with the same issues you are facing. 

Who will be attending?

The THRIVE Gathering is designed for women raising children alone. Attendees range from divorced, never married, widowed, separated from a spouse, grandmothers raising grandchildren, etc. Regardless of how long you’ve been a single mother or the age of your children, this event is for you!

What can I expect at the event?

You will be encouraged and energized to continue in your journey. Friday evening will kick off with a main session followed by dessert and a time to connect with other moms. Saturday begins with breakfast and a powerful line-up of speakers and breakout sessions to choose from. We'll also have panel discussions featuring men and women raised by single moms.  Don't miss the fabulous lunch, fun activities and inspiring worship led by Lisa Leininger.   

What's the age limit for childcare?

Childcare is provided for children ages birth through 11 years old until the rooms are full. Registration is required by the deadline. Your children will be served breakfast and lunch on Saturday. Children are not allowed in the auditorium in order to allow moms to have a quiet break. 

What will my children do in the childcare program?

Your children will be having fun! There are activities planned for the entire day. They will enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games, and organized play. You can relax knowing your children are cared for by trained childcare workers who are excited about loving on your kids.

Are refunds available?

Arise Ministries does not offer refunds for childcare or for event admission. Your ticket is transferrable so you may gift it to another woman attending THRIVE.

Can I be a speaker at the conference?

It is our desire to assemble a team of speakers to inspire, educate and encourage single mothers. This year's speakers have been chosen and no other applications are being accepted.  If you are interested in future events, check back in January 2020 for instructions on submitting an application. 

What's different about THRIVE this year?

THRIVE is moving back to a two-day format. Main sessions will be held in the worship center and you'll be able to select two breakout sessions for a more targeted workshop experience. We believe this year's schedule offers the perfect balance of activities.
